Skeybook

Terms of service.

Effective 7 October 2026 · applies to skeybook.space

In short: Skeybook is a personal tool for keeping what you read. Your content stays yours. Use it lawfully, keep your account safe, and understand that the service is provided as it is.

Using Skeybook

By signing in, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age in your country. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Your content

You keep all rights to the quotes, notes, journal pages, sketches, photos and files you add. You give Skeybook only the permission needed to store, process and show that content back to you, including sending specific content to the services described in the privacy policy when you use a feature that needs them.

Quotes and book files may be protected by copyright. Skeybook is for your personal, private use. Only upload books you have the right to use, and share quote cards only in ways allowed where you live (for example, short excerpts with attribution).

Acceptable use

AI features

Essence summaries are generated by an AI model from your own lines. They can be imperfect; treat them as an aid to reflection, not as facts about the book.

Pinterest

If you connect Pinterest, Skeybook uses the Pinterest API only to read your boards and pins so you can import them into your collections. Skeybook is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Pinterest. Pins and their images belong to the people who made them, are shown as provided, and link back to Pinterest. By connecting Pinterest you also agree to Pinterest’s own terms. You can disconnect at any time from Settings or your Pinterest account settings, and Skeybook will stop accessing your Pinterest data.

Sharing and Orbit

When you share a collection or put something in Orbit, you are responsible for it. Only share what you have the right to share, and nothing unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or that exposes someone’s private information. Orbit posts are public: you give Skeybook permission to show them to anyone, and other users may save or reshare them inside Skeybook. We may remove posts or limit accounts that break these rules. To report a post, email hello@skeybook.space.

Spotify

Skeybook uses the Spotify Web API to show your own listening back to you. Skeybook is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Spotify. Spotify content (names, artwork and links) belongs to Spotify and its licensors, is shown as provided, and links back to Spotify. By connecting Spotify you also agree to Spotify’s own terms. You can disconnect at any time from the Sound page or your Spotify account settings, and Skeybook will stop accessing your Spotify data.

Other services

Some features rely on third parties (Google, OpenAI, Spotify, Pinterest, and book, film, map and weather services). Their availability is outside our control, and features that depend on them may change.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Skeybook running and your data safe, but the service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We may change or discontinue features. If we ever shut Skeybook down, we will give you notice and time to export your data.

Liability

To the extent allowed by law, Skeybook is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data beyond what is caused by our own negligence. Keep exports of anything you can’t afford to lose.

Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time from the app. We may suspend accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it applies. Questions: hello@skeybook.space.
